Coats/Warm Clothing Collection
We will be collecting coats and warm clothing/children’s coats and boots in good/new condition the weekend of Nov 8/9. They can be placed in the crib near the altar at IHOM or in a box in the Bell Tower at ICC.

Thanksgiving Food Collection
Donations will be collected the weekends of Nov 8/9 and Nov 15/16.
The collections for turkeys will be in front of the Social Center before Mass. Dry food can be placed in the red wagon in the church.

Christmas Bazaar Bake Goods and Raffle Tables
We are looking for baked goods, cakes, pies (no cream pies), breads, cookies, etc. Raffle items are needed: baskets and gift certificates, etc.

Memorial Mass for Former Pastor Rev. Allan J. Hill
A Memorial Mass will be offered at Immaculate Heart of Mary on Sat, Nov 22 at 10:00am. May his Soul rest in peace. All are welcome.

Please call the Parish office at 860.379.5215 if you are available to help change the missalettes after the 8:00am Mass on Tue, Nov 25 or after the 8:00am Mass on Wed, Nov 26. Should only take about an hour.

Join us for 9:00am Mass at Immaculate Conception Church on Thanksgiving Day.
The Parish office will be closed on Thu, Nov 27 and Fri, Nov 28.

Please join us in prayer before the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 8:30am (after 8:00am Mass) at Immaculate Conception or at 7:00pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica in Rome

Today, as we celebrate the feast day of St. John Lateran Basilica, the cathedral Church of the diocese of Rome, we recall the sublime teaching of St. Paul in several of his letters. Church buildings are important. It is in the church building that the sacraments are to be celebrated, with exceptions permitted for some of the sacraments. The four major basilicas of Rome are all honored during the year on our liturgical calendar. Within each diocese, we are called to celebrate liturgically the date of our local cathedral, and in our own parishes, we are also called to celebrate the date of each local parish church.
