Respect Life Ministry

Dedicated to the protection of human life at all stages from conception to natural death. Spiritually rooted in Christian, Marian love, taking action in prayer, liturgy, education, and support. Changing hearts, changing minds, one soul at a time.

We are very small in size and very large in scope. We are responding to Blessed John Paul II's call to build the Culture of Life and oppose the Culture of Death. This entails action on two planes - the Physical and Spiritual.

Physical Actions

Physical actions include education and reaching out to help all victims of the Culture of Death. We are heavily involved in Two Hearts Pregnancy Care Center. We also assist Even Start Program at Torrington High School, prayer vigils at Hartford abortion facility. (40 Days)

Spiritual Actions

Spiritual actions include prayer, and promoting spiritual renewal. Life Rosary on Sunday mornings, educational talks, Patriotic Rosary, Re-consecration of ourselves, our families, and our Nation back to God before the Blessed Sacrament and Eucharistic Adoration in conjunction with 40 days for life campaign.

We have been committed to the "Year of Faith" principals from our beginning! We eagerly look forward to this opportunity to co-operate in a program to renew the faith and spiritual life of our parish family. It is our hope that the parish will become the "Joy filled Witnesses to Christ" putting Faith into Action.
